Participant Reviews

What They’re Saying

Matthew, who is nearly 21 yrs old, recently had a short holiday stay in Geelong with other participants and staff from Ellenni and Co.  Doesn't sound like much to the average person, but WOW what a huge accomplishment from not only Matt but from me too, his mum.

Growing up Matt had a hard time medical wise so me letting go never happened. So there were never school camps or overnight stays with family. It was literally the first time we have ever been apart for even an overnight stay.  I was there for every hospital stay, everyday or night with many admissions we did it together as a team. I experienced major separation anxiety. But I’m so happy that I let him go on this stay or should I say let Matt make that choice.

He had so much fun and was super excited to show pictures and talk about the new friends he made and places visited. Now the little boy is suddenly a grown man who now will happily do overnight stays which allows me to work too.

Massive thanks Ellenni and Co.

Matt & Jackie

Cameron has been a part of Elenni and Co for almost two years. Initially he struggled with the transition from high school to a more independent way of living where he now had the ability to set his own goals and dreams. Elenni and Co fostered his interests while trying to show Cameron that he is more than able to expand any preconceived limitations he felt he had by building his confidence. It hasn't always been easy but they have shown a considerable amount of empathy and compassion whilst providing a dedicated team that will place Cameron and his fellow participants first.

Since Cameron has been at Elenni & Co he's done work in Bundoora Farm, horticulture, woodworking, cafe (not his favourite ), toy library and more recently fitness.

He missed out last year on the Stayz due to COVID but is eagerly awaiting this year's getaway with his mates.

Elleni & Co has been an invaluable experience for Riley. Thanks to the incredible support of the team he has developed the confidence to travel independently using both Uber and public transport. He loves being involved in the food delivery program and takes great pride in connecting with the wider community. As a family we have peace of mind knowing he’s in a safe, supportive environment that encourages him to be involved in a wide range of projects that are both productive and fun.
